SUPPORTING NERINGA
Hurricane Irene Relief
The devastation and flooding that hurricane Irene brought upon southern Vermont did not spare Camp Neringa. The storm washed away the bridge to camp, threatened the dam and dock at the prudas, and wiped out MacArthur Road and portions of Route 9.
Insurance covers no portion of the $75,000 rebuilding costs. Many have contributed to date, much more help is still needed. You may send Neringa a donation online (registration is not required to donated through Pay Pal) or by mail: Neringa, 600 Liberty Highway, Putnam, CT, 06260 USA.
Other Items:
- Visit the alumni page for service projects ideas
for Neringa.
- Neringa is looking for the following equipment (to donate, please contact
the administration): commercial grade basketball backboards, row
boat/canoe with paddles, new bureaus for cabins, welder, twin
mattresses, cabinet for audio equipment, brush chipper, gas-powered leaf blower, exterior insulated doors for main building, teak park
bench, washing machine, dryer.
- Neringa is grateful for recent support from the following organizations: Rochester Lithuanian Fund, Lithuanian Catholic Religious Aid, Lithuanian Foundation, Inc., Lithuanian National Foundation, the Knights of Lithuania, The National Lithuanian Society of America, The Oak Tree Philanthropic Foundation, and the Lithuanian Scouts.
Neringa is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation (TAX ID 06-1466926) that cannot subsist solely on the
reasonably-priced camp tuition payments collected over the summers. For this
reason we address our Neringa and Lithuanian communities for financial
assistance as well as other sources of support for youth education and Christian
or Catholic ministry.
To make a tax-deductible (TAX ID 06-1466926) donation to Neringa, send a check made out to Neringa,
Inc. with your name and address information to:
Neringa 600
Liberty Hwy. Putnam, CT 06260.
